Westside Bistro - New Glasgow

My husband and I both had the chicken cordon blue. It was wonderful. Potatoes and vegetables were perfect also.

Never having been to New Glasgow before, or even Nova Scotia, it was always a bit hit and miss where would eat. But the West Side Bistro was everything we hoped it would be. The owners were delightful and interesting - and the food was excellent. Enjoyed every mouthful.

Decent home cooked food. Using fresh ingredients and made consistent. Simple menus and specials are always good

This small restaurant is in my former home town but I visited regularly while my mother was alive and she and her caregiver in her final years loved this place. I recently returned to visit scouting out the town as a retirement destination and went for lunch and enjoyed it so much, I returned the next day and had the exact same thing. I had their outstanding tomato and cheddar soup and the salmon fishcakes which were absolutely yummy and initially I was shocked that they were served unheated but they turned out to be perfect. Next time I visit I will have them prepare a gallon of soup and at least a dozen of their fishcakes to bring back home to Halifax to continue the pleasurable assault of my senses. Wonderfully friendly chef and server.

This is a nice little Bistro near Downtown New Glasgow. The food and service are very good. The restaurant is very clean and well decorated. You won't be disappointed!
