The Cross Keys - New Galloway

Lovely place to stay we stayed here in June for 1 night. Managed to park right outside when we arrived late evening. Spacious room with all necessary facilities excellent power shower. Some wear and tear in the room, but you expect that in guest houses/older buildings. Very clean. No option for dinner but we went elsewhere. Breakfast there was brilliant. The owner was so friendly and her dog Claude was adorable...I enjoyed watching Claude in the garden communicating with next door's massive dog Such a character!

The lovely owner of The Cross Keys was an absolute god send when our car broke down 2miles up the road. She was incredibly accommodating and kind. After the RAC let us down we desperately needed somewhere to stay at 9:30pm at night. We were helped immediately and had a place to stay within seconds. The room itself was comfortable, cosy, clean and had all the bed and breakfast amenities you could need. The breakfast was delicious and the tiny helper, Claude (of the doggo variety) was a very welcome friend by our feet whilst we finished our eggs and bacon. Definitely recommend this lovely location and would happily stay here again.

Wonderful old school hotel situated in the middle of charming New Galloway. Warm and welcoming staff, comfortable rooms, great food and a cozy and friendly bar. Great value for money and well worth a visit.
