New Canaan Chicken

The food is tasty, but they frequently mess up orders. We recently ordered a half pound of chicken nuggets with cones (which are my favorite). Instead, they sent us chicken nuggets with fries and cones. When I asked the owner if there was really half a pound of chicken nuggets in the bag, he assured me there was. However, when I got home, I found only three nuggets hidden under the fries, and the total weight was just 0.2 pounds. Disappointing. Unfortunately, this has happened multiple times, so even though I enjoy the food (especially the cones), I won’t be returning.

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but unfortunately, the chicken nuggets were overcooked, almost as if they had been prepared, then reheated instead of being freshly cooked. They only gave me a tiny container of ketchup, which wasn’t nearly enough for either the fries or the nuggets. There was no barbecue sauce or honey mustard available either. In comparison, Chicken Joe's, Garden Catering in Greenwich, and even Red Rooster in Stamford serve much better chicken nuggets—they're cooked properly and come with seasoning options you can add. Plus, they actually ask what type of barbecue or honey mustard you’d prefer and how much you'd like. New Canaan didn’t offer any of that, and the chicken nuggets also had some tough bits of meat in them.

This is the best restaurant in all of New Canaan. The people who work here are the absolute kindest people you?ll ever meet and the food is AMAZING! Not to mention they have the most unique and delicious seasoning on the planet. The service is quick andreliable with reasonable prices. ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!!!!

New Canaan Chicken is mainly a take-out kitchen but they can seat a few people. They are conveniently located on Main Street down town. The price is reasonable and the food is tasty. It feels a little funny to eat out of to-go containers but if you arehungry, you don't really care. The place is small. I felt the staff was concerned that you got what you wanted. I have a feelingthat this is a family run place.

I really enjoy this restaurant, although I try to limit my visits because it's not the healthiest option. Despite being fried, the chicken isn't greasy, the seasonings are fantastic, and I absolutely love their cones, which are fried mashed potato balls. The prices are a bit on the higher side, and no matter what size or combination I choose, I feel like I always end up with the same portion of food. It's always a delightful treat when we go!
