El Tapatio Mexican - New Braunfels

Great place to eat after they are on the river. portioning are great, salsa is great, everything is tasteful. large tassen to clear your thirst. large selection of Mexican tasty (empanadas, palatas, cookies, conchas, etc.) Pepsi/Dr.Pepper fountain drinks. the service is amazing, each person on the staff was friendly and fast.

Great service on a busy weekend, quick handling of a big to go order, order was correct, tacos are pretty big, you may only need 1 btw. Very impressed

This is my family's go to place in New Braunfels. The Mexican food is good for New Braunfels. Service is good, and there open most of the time.

Girlfriend and I were in town for the waterpark. We decided to try breakfast here. Service made some simple mistakes (no biggie it happens . However, the food is something worth talking about. It was super bland. I ordered the chilaquiles and the were super soggy and drenched in the most pretentious red sauce ever. (NO flavor. My girlfriend ordered the huevos a la mexicana. Also super bland, no color, it was just a mid-tier breakfast. Mind you, we were both super hungry, so it was quite disappointing. I would probably not return. The building itself is really cool with murals surrounding the entire outside. Historic, but disappointing where it really matters. Sorry for the harsh review.

I have recently used the drive thru twice, both times they got my order wrong. The second time they were confused what i ordered at the pick up window so i repeated my order and when i check it (2 tacos) they had it wrong so they fixed it. I left thinking they got it right the third time, got home and the order was wrong. I ordered 2 different tacos, they gave me 2 of the same thing. On top of that, not very good. Won't be back.
