Savage's Wood Burning Pizzeria

The interior is quite small, so we decided to leave. We expected everything we ordered to be good. We tried the pizza, salad, and some wine. The server was attentive, and the prices were reasonable. It seems they have a very busy operation.

This restaurant is fantastic for lunch! We stopped by on our way home during a road trip and really enjoyed our meal. We ordered a variety of lunch items, including a personal pizza for the kids and some Caesar salads. Everything was delicious and tasted homemade and fresh. I love lasagna, and it certainly did not disappoint here. The place was clean, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the menu was very affordable.

Since I moved to New Bern, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect calzone. It seems like many places confuse a calzone with a stromboli. Some have dough that’s too spongy, while others have bland fillings. Then I discovered Savage’s, and my search finally came to an end. Doug is a culinary artist, and every calzone I've tried has been consistently delicious. I especially love the sausage and pepperoni combination, but when I'm in the mood for something with a little kick, I go for the sausage and jalapeño lime calzone. Their sauce is always amazing, too. They serve pizza, how pizza should be served - with fire baked to make the crust smokey and crisp. we ordered the medium sea and it was delicious. nothing special about it. only really good pizza at a fair price. if you're in new bern, it's worth a stop.

If you are looking for Italian style pizza, this is the place. Everything is delicious. Pizza baked the way it should be. Caprese was different and delicious. Service was good. Price could have been cheaper (Pizza is poor man's food) but no higher than anyplace else.
