Bidrage med feedbackWe were at a loss as to where to have lunch. A local told us there were not many choices so we headed for Le Carnot. We were seated in the less busy upstairs section. Our waiter was efficient and courteous. The menu far from typically French and overpriced in comparison to what we have been use to. Our chips arrived over cooked yet barely warm. The place was heaving with customers on a busy Saturday market day. All I can say is it kept the wolf from the door They could do better.
This is the kind of brasserie-restaurant (the distinction is non-existent now) that France does so well. Or in this case, not so well. Your average punter will find nothing massively wrong, but in my case when I ask for a dish cooked a certain way (rare) I do rather expect it that way, especially considering the wait already undergone, I prefer not to send it back and wait longer. And it was a Sunday night, when service should have been a little slicker. For the price one pays, it is a disappointment.
This is a typical street café bar serving uncomplicated meals. Just a little quieter than the next one in the square. We both had steak haché cooked well with a salad and frites side. Nice touches with onion jam and goat's cheese. With a demi pichet of rather good house Mâcon Blanc and a pression, it came out at 37€ not the cheapest, but typical for this location. Good if you're looking for something simple, quickly.
Too bad! The boss talks about 20min has his clients accustomed, In the meantime, we wait for the map. I'm not recommending
Excellent reception!!!! And without counting the quality of the meal, everything was perfect! A quality meat, a single mill to fall. The same level of accompaniment was excellent!! Desserts: apple terrine and cowrin..huum Don't hesitate to stop!!!!
