Bidrage med feedbackMaro was the destination having walked from Torrox Costa so decided to stop here had have a pint or two. Nice welcome from the lady working who poured me a ice cold pint of beer and it was good to see the locals out enjoying some tapas and drinks. Decided to have a few more beers and had a quick look at the menu. Mixto toastie €3 and a portion of chips €1.50 thought was worth trying and it was nice. Nothing fancy but was tasty and that was good enough for me. No problem going back. Very clean establishment
This place was a short walk from the villa we were staying in. Having walked past through the day we decided to pop in for an evening meal. So glad we did. A warm welcome. We tried a little Spanish the waiter tried a little English. Had a delicious paella sat on the balcony while the sun went down. Maro is a pretty little village the seaviews from this place are lovely.
Just driving through towards Nerva, when we came across this little place lovely balcony parking within 100m, close to a children's play area. Simple menu couple of salad starters, a chicken and a fish main, couple of puddings and 2 coffees together with a couple of beers 21 euro good service, water for the dogs, would go again without a doubt
First bar on the left over the traffic island coming from Nerja. Ideal for a refreshing drink, tapas or meal after a steady walk from Nerja. Friendly service, your usual Spanish food and drinks at cheap prices. We enjoyed the tapas that we had, and the food that we saw being served looked really good, two good tapas 3€. This place is one not to miss. One to MISS is the one in the square near the church looks good but was ripped off. Ordered tapas and beers, the tapas came with no beers a few minutes later asked for the beers they came. Later on payment they charged extra for the beers because they said they had been ordered seperatly cost of two small beer tapas 5.40€. This happened to someone else as well.
This is the first place you pass on entering Maro and for many years we have carried on into the village, without stopping. BIG MISTAKE. They have the best quality/price three course lunch that you will find anywhere. All freshly cooked and served with a smile. This, plus the terrific large tapas you can ask for, from the menu del dia, make this a must stop. Sit on the raised terrace for an unrivalled view.
