Island Girl Cigar - NEPTUNE BEACH

What has happened to this place? I recall when it was a much more upscale venue. Last night, it felt like a chaotic scene with a crowd of young people at the bar and outside, bringing their own drinks. The atmosphere was just overwhelming! The bar was blasting rock music, and it no longer felt like a relaxing spot to unwind. I also remember when only women worked there, which is fitting given the name Island Girl. They were elegant, courteous, and well-informed about various cigars and drinks. They would come to your table or wherever you were seated to check if you needed anything. Unfortunately, that level of service seems to have disappeared. The whole place used to have amazing vibes, and it's disappointing to see how it has changed. As much as I once enjoyed it, I don’t think I will be returning anytime soon.

I recommend visiting Island Cigar Girl, although I personally prefer the Downtown Jacksonville location. It has a much cooler atmosphere. I enjoy the outdoor setting here and appreciate being able to listen to my music at a reasonable volume without straining to hear it. Unfortunately, the bartender seemed quite unhappy about working over the holiday weekend, which was understandable but made for a less inviting experience. Additionally, unlike the other location, this one doesn't offer karaoke. The bartender referred to this venue as a more sophisticated lounge, which is why they have a jukebox, but they play the music so softly you can hardly hear it. Nonetheless, it’s a local cigar bar, and there are plenty of people who enjoy cigars.

The cigars here are excellent, and the humidor is well-stocked. The service is consistently good. A notable convenience is that they offer valet parking, which is located at the back of the establishment.

What a fantastic discovery! They offer reasonably priced cigars, beer, and wine. Wheeze, the bartender, was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The place had an excellent selection of cigars and a welcoming atmosphere. It's very down-to-earth with great airflow. I can't wait to go back tomorrow!

This is a fantastic spot for enjoying drinks, catching up with friends, and playing pool or darts. The bartenders are fantastic!
