Bay Harbour Cafe - Nelson Bay

The food was good, but definitely not the best—I’ve had better fish and chips in the food courts of Sydney, and the portions were quite small. On the positive side, the view was fantastic, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

Lovely view. We had fishermans basket and sweet potato chips, service was good, it was a busy lunchtime. Will come again.

Really tasty fish and chips. Fish was perfectly cooked and crispy and so were the chips. Bit pricy but you get really tasty food in return.

We had an excellent dining experience at this restaurant! We tried the special three fish battered meal along with some fresh natural oysters. The fish was incredibly fresh, just like it came straight from the ocean, and it was lightly battered to perfection. They offered a fantastic selection of sauces, and we got a kick out of the chopsticks and soy sauce available for some of the tourists! The views were breathtaking, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal, and after dining, you can take a lovely stroll along the piers. Highly recommend!

The other reviews are spot on. Instead of visiting the other two restaurants by the bay, head here instead. The views and food are superior, and the service was warm and welcoming. The only downside was the lack of cutlery on the table. Additionally, while you're technically not permitted to consume seafood bought from nearby fresh seafood stores on their premises, they didn’t mind my partner enjoying her oysters.
