The Honest Lawyer Country Pub - Nelson

This delightful establishment is located away from the hustle and bustle of Nelson's town center, offering a peaceful and serene setting. They've truly captured the essence of a "Ye Olde English Pub," creating a charming atmosphere. Every staff member I encountered was friendly, helpful, and genuinely appreciative of my patronage. I spent one night in a cozy single room that was very comfortable and had everything I needed for a great night's sleep. The food at the restaurant was absolutely delicious, particularly the Crispy Pork Belly, and the selection of beers and drinks was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and highly recommend it if you're looking for something a bit different from the typical country motel.

I had a wonderful get-together with some cousins from the North Island. We enjoyed a few drinks and a light meal in a great atmosphere. Although the staff mixed up our meal order, they resolved the issue immediately and even offered us a complimentary drink, which was excellent service! I highly recommend this spot; the location is fantastic, the food was delicious, and the indoor and outdoor seating was just perfect. There’s plenty of parking, and the place has a cozy, homey feel.

Enjoyed a meal in the restaurant with friendly helpful staff and quality food. Many diners there on a Monday where the restaurant is available for meals most of the day. Approximately NZD50 per person for a starter and main that was promptly served. Would visit again.

Great to sit outside on a Saturday afternoon, watch the planes overhead and look out over the ocean. Good selection of beers and table service. Place was very busy.
