Sands Fish Chips - Nelson

Very coeliac aware. Have a seperate GF fryer, GF buns for burgers.

Great chips and corn fritter. Excellent staff. Lots of GF options on menu. Just a short walk across the road to the beach if no tables out the front. Also car parking at the back. Just turn left at the lights.

Celiac friendly, dedicated gluten free fryer. Good options. Have no issues after eating there. Don’t go there often as the service is weird. The guy is not very nice.

Got takeaway from here. Had a scoop of chips, calamari, fish and potato flips (fritters). All tasted good, the batter was super crispy. Service was a bit weird told the guy at the counter that I was coeliac and his was reply was ...don't care...you want gluten free . So was a bit anxious about eating while waiting for the order. When my order was ready, I double checked that it was all coeliac safe. Felt fine after eating.

Stopped here on the way to Abel Tasman for fish and chips. Pretty good and felt fine afterwards!
