Charleston Crab House - N.charleston

We stopped by Charleston Crab House after a nearby tour, and it was a great decision! The place was super busy, which is usually a good sign. We’re visiting from out of state and had a craving for seafood, so this spot was perfect. There was a bit of a wait, around 20 minutes, but there are plenty of cool gift shops and a big market right across the street to keep you occupied. Once we got the text that our table was ready, we were seated promptly. Our waiter was super nice and really informative when we asked about the menu. He recommended we try the frozen rum runner (with passion fruit rum, banana rum, white rum, brandy, OJ, pineapple juice, and some other goodies mixed in), and wow, it was delicious and strong—definitely a winner! We also tried both the raw and grilled oysters, and both were fantastic, especially the grilled ones. My partner ordered the Carolina Platter, and I went with the grilled seafood trio. We were told these were excellent choices for newcomers, and they did not disappoint! The scallops and shrimp were grilled to perfection, and the redfish was flaky and moist—pairing perfectly with the Charleston red rice. My partner loved her snow crab and crab cakes. Overall, the entire experience—from the drinks to the food and the friendly staff—was amazing. I’m definitely coming back here the next time I’m visiting or even just passing through Charleston!

5 stars all around. Next to the market. Many indoor and outdoor seats. Fish and crab tasted great.

Food is good. Prices are good. The rooftop is really nice on good nite . Very relaxing and comfy place.

I do not recommend, For the prices they're charging you could definitely go somewhere else and eat better quality food. Sweet tea was watered down and too sweet. So we were just drinking sweet water. The food came out hot I have to give that to them, But nothing had any flavor to it. The presentation just looked like someone just threw it on the plate didn't care. The server was rude my partner was still eating And she asked us if we were ready for the check. I'm thinking to myself do we look ready he's still chewing. That annoyed me more than the bland food. Adding cheese to the food is not seasoning. This would be on my no go list. And definitely will not recommend a friend's family. People head down the street to 83 Queens You will get better service better quality food better tasting. For the same price.
