Taberna Do Ze D'avo - Nazare

Located in Sitio, in the cliffs of Nazaré, Taberna do Ze d'Avo offers a nice atmosphere with local portuguese dishes. We came here for dinner and the owner was extremely pleasant. There were both locals and tourists alike dining at the restaurant. We had two local dishes, the alheira and fried dourada (I think... it was a prevelant local fish). The alheira was prepared differently than any alheira I've had in the past without the casing and pressed flat it was delicious! Served with an egg, fries and rice, this dish was quite satisfying. The fried fish was also good, served with tomato based rice lightly seasoned. The dessert too was a traditional after dinner treat, a creamy mousse. Overall the dishes and ambience were very nice, and the owner especially welcoming.

Wonderful atmosphere and very delicious food, great choice of different fishes and steaks. Prices are very democratic and for this food I would say low. Also, portions are really large, we eve didn’t finish ours. The total price for 2 (including a bottle a wine, 2 main dishes, and 3 starters) was about 40 euros. I highly recommend this place

Food was absolutely delicious. Service was very friendly and fast. We asked about all the food we're interested so we knew what we're ordering and the staff was always more than happy to answer. It'll be extremely hard to find a better value restaurant in Sitio and Nazaré.

Chegamos tarde na viagem e quando estacionamos foi o restaurante mais próximo. Viemos para a aventura e é bom. A comida era espectacular. 5 estrelas. o serviço também foi bom.
