Ginger Pho and Grill - National City

I bought grilled squid today and when my wife opened the box it was stinky and we had light a candle to neutralize the foul smell. I had to return the item but I didn't get a refund for the cost but a store credit. I don't recommend buying grilleditems in this place as they have the practice of selling items that were not disposed in previous days. Other food places justtrash them away or at least don't try to sell them.

Food pics on the wall is deceiving..we requested a low table to be cleaned because I have to disabled brothers that need it and they kept pointing fingers who should clean it..then I female employee yelled it's not even my job(there goes liability..she need to go)if she can't represent your business and not a team player then who will..cashier was even whispering to go go clean it because I said I will complain..took them 10 to 15 minutes to figure out who..when..what..why.that table need to be cleaned..employees are not in the same page..who is managing..do they have pep talks before they start their shift..I know it's over the counter order..but don't be an order taker..food already cold because of course we have to wait for so looong to get the appropriate table for people with disability..which non of you guys didn't care

Surprise to see good Filipino food in this part of the US. Perhaps due to large Filipino in nearby areas. The restaurant seems to be popular as shown by worn out fixtures and furniture. Food and pastries are really great just like back home. It seems they have other great products that is only available here in the west coast. Everyday lunch time seems to be busy. You need to be on line early.

Not a 5 star place, but definitely not a 3 star place. Food was affordable and pretty good, got two meats for like $12 or so. Service is whatever, but it was quick. I had mostly bbq stuff but the other stuff looks good, give it a try!

I liked the Filipino food! It's cheap and it tastes really good.
