Bidrage med feedbackI had the fried chicken.. absolutely fantastic. The little baby biscuits to start were great. The side of mashed potatoes and limas were really good
A wonderful place, behind historic Stanton Hall in historic Natchez. Fabulous atmosphere; great food and service!
This restaurant has an elegant ambiance, complete with white tablecloths, but unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the atmosphere. The menu features what seems to be expensive frozen and canned items. The chicken-fried steak was pre-breaded, the mushy green beans tasted like they came straight from a can, and the cook had to cut into my hamburger steak to check its temperature before serving it—only to find it was still rare. It was smothered in canned gravy as well. The highlight of our visit was definitely the waitress, who provided excellent service.
I visited this restaurant for the first time in 2016 and had an amazing experience. I returned in 2021 for their Thanksgiving buffet, but unfortunately, the food wasn't as good as I remembered from my first visit. The service was disappointing as well; it felt like we were unwelcome. It’s sad to see such a decline in what I expected to be genuine southern hospitality, especially while on vacation. I wonder if there are new owners since my last visit, because the staff back in 2016 were incredibly warm and welcoming.
This is my favorite restaurant from childhood. They still make the small breakfast biscuits, but unfortunately, the lady who usually prepares them was out sick. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which turned out to be hot wings and waffles—a pairing I never imagined could work. And it was incredible! The balance of spice and sweetness was just perfect. I can't wait to come back for the Sunday brunch buffet. I absolutely love this place!
