Bidrage med feedbackI ordered a Bayou platter with a side of gator tail. The platter only came with 6 pieces of gator tail, while the side came with about 10. When I called to ask about the portions, the manager Brittany said that everything was measured by weight and it usually comes with 10 pieces. For $8.95, I would expect to receive more than 10 pieces or for it to be listed as measured by weight. For $46.53, I would have hoped for a larger portion.
This place is overrated. Firstly, I ordered my food online for curbside pickup. I was waiting for them to come out, and after a while I had to call in to remind them that I was outside. I ordered the catfish and chicken tender combo. The food was just warm and didn?t even look fresh. The taste was just as bad as the look. The fish tasted old, bready and had absolutely no seasoning. The chicken tenders were bland. The white beans look gross and the potatoes were as bland asthey look. The best thing on the plate was the pickle. I can?t believe I spent $20 on this!
Food was delicious, best fried oysters I have had even off the coast of Texas...amazing Cole slaw and hush puppies too. it was soon good we left nothing behind..and ordered a banana pudding to go. definitely will be back the next time we visit Nashville.
On my way home I stopped at Uncle Bud?s for the catfish I?ve been craving. It was pretty good but I was surprised at how small the pieces were. The sides were all good. I ordered the peach cobbler for dessert and it was probably one of the WORST things I?ve ever tried to eat. Two bites and I pushed it away. I expected peaches with a crust (isn?t that what cobbler is?? . It was like ground up mush with so much sugar in it that I could crunch the granules in my teeth. All theextra sugar didn?t help it any. ????. Tasted like it maybe had cinnamon in it too but I could be mistaken. It didn?t taste like peaches at all. It was beyond awful!! They wouldn?t take the $7.95 off the bill either. Yes, 8 bucks for?cobbler? and a small cup of ice cream.
We were in Nashville, TN last weekend for my oldest Daughter early birthday celebration. We went here on 9/16/22. I was a little worried as they closed at 9pm. We got there right at a little after 8pm. The staff was so welcoming, even though we had a party of 6. We ordered 3 fried shrimp dinners, catfish dinner, and a kids chicken tender meal. The food here was delicious. The white beans were seasoned so well, and the hush puppies I couldn't get enough of. Our serverStephanie F. did an outstanding job, thank you. If I'm ever back in the area I will make to come back again. I highly recommend Uncle Bud's.
