Cancun Mexican - Nashville

Mexican Mexican. This is central-mexican style food. Not border food! This is some really good food. The queso blanco could use some pablano peppers or something (it's sortof just....cheese without that) but otherwise amazing service and the staff is very friendly. Took less than 5 minutes to receive two complicated dishes from the kitchen after ordering with the waiter. Very nice.

This restaurant has friendly service and fair food. Prices are reasonable. It doesn't stand out among a growing list of Mexican Restaurants. Garcia's in Franklin and Nacho's in Bellevue and Franklin are better quality for about the same prices. Still, It's a great neighborhood Mexican restaurant.

OMG the BEST Mexican Food I have EVER had!. I use to live in Bellevue so it was easy to drive there but now I live about 20 miles away and still make the drive at least once or twice a month because there are no better Mexican restaurants in Nashville, Cancun is AMAZING! The staff is friendly speak English well, the service is fast and excellent, and the food? WOW there are too many good adjectives I can use to describe! My personal favorites are the chicken chimichanga, the cheese and the chicken enchiladas, fajitas, tamales, queso dip and tacos. There is nothing I have eaten from there that hasn't been superb.

Longevity counts. Cancun has been around for at least 20 years, and most of the waitstaff has literally grown up there. Service if fast, pleasant and prices are cheap. My favorites are anything with chicken, from chile relleno to quesadillas to soft tacos to fajitas. Onions are almost caramelized and sauces are not overwhelming (although you can always add to them). I think it's be best Mexican value in town.
