Bidrage med feedbackThis café, which caters to visitors of Andrew Jackson's Hermitage, is conveniently situated near the main building where tickets are purchased and the museum featuring artifacts and historical timelines can be found. However, you don’t need to take a tour to enjoy a meal here. With its glass construction, the café offers a casual and spacious atmosphere, filled with natural light and views of the outdoors.
The food was unpleasant and the service was too slow. It really put a damper on my vacation.
The restaurant connected to the Hermitage is a charming concept, especially with its menu inspired by famous historical figures, in line with the names of Jackson's cabinet. However, I was disappointed with the combo meal I ordered for $15; it didn't meet my expectations, and the service was rather slow. I was also concerned to see that as patrons left the cafe, no one was available to wipe down the tables, which raises health concerns. On the day of my visit, it seemed there were only three or four staff members working, which is surprising given the restaurant's popularity. Overall, if you're looking for lunch in that area of Nashville, I would recommend seeking other options, as I won't be returning.
I had the red pepper soup, which was very good and only $4.99 for a generous bowl ðŸ‘
Don’t bother to run back into town if you’re not done at The Hermitage. Lots of choices and some combo deals, too.
