Bidrage med feedbackI was staying at the nearby Holiday Inn and didn 't feel energetic enough to leave for a meal. Killarney 's offered up a tasty burger (added mushrooms for $0.75), good onion rings, and a selection of beers (the usual nationwide American draft beers plus a couple larger craft breweries and Guinness) that tempted me to stay local. The burger and 'rings were good, the beers met expectations, and the service was attentive enough. Certainly I can 't down-rate them based on anything that I ate, but I think I made wise choices and steered towards pub food staples. I 'd be cautious ordering fancier menu items. There seemed to be a local crowd at the bar and a larger group that I presume was from the hotel that had commandeered several pushed-together tables. Someone 's old post and beam barn went to decorate the interior, which I thought was a waste. This place meets food requirements within the parameters of its primary bar identity but doesn 't excite, so I 'm giving a gift of 4 stars. It could actually be much worse, but my sample of 1 scored highly with the food, tempered by low expectations and savvy ordering.
Hubby and I came here for dinner on our first night. It's located in one hotel's lobby. Surprisingly this place serves pretty good food. It didn't look like it, but it did. We had potato skin for an appetizer. Hubby had his hamburger, and I had salmon dinner. All three dishes were pretty good. Hubby's burger was delicious, and my salmon wasn't bad either. My salmon had pesto paste on top and served with broccoli and rice. Without the pesto paste, I thought the salmon would be a bit bland. Anyway, dinner was delicious. No internet connection here. Since every table and the bar were occupied, we got a big table. Marcy the waitress was very good. First we thought we would get the food late due to the full house and one person working on the floor, but don't underestimate, Marcy didn't let you down. Nice dinner!
It was basically the easiest option for dinner without having to find a place to eat outside the hotel. It was nice to have this restaurant pub at this Holiday Inn Suites in Nashua, NH. And so, my friends and I ate dinner here at Kilarney's Irish Pub and it was decently good. I was tired after running in ME and drove to NH. It was a good idea to eat here, especially when I didn't have to think much about it. My friends wanted something quick, so we could spend the rest of the night relaxing and sleeping before getting up again for a long distance foot race in Mine Falls Park nearby. With that said, my party of 3 initially arrived here around 6pm, but it later grew to 4 people and we made it a thing. The restaurant itself is connected to the Holiday Inn hotel suites and once the bill arrived, we could have chosen to bill the room we stayed in or paid with cash or credit card. I paid with credit card, since the room itself was paid for on points on my friend's reservation, so it was okay to pay for my dinner on my own. The restaurant's vibe was quiet and casual. It was interesting for a Monday evening for sure, but a slow Monday in May 2019. The décor was nice and good. The ambiance seemed to be more intimate than casual, but I guess that's how bars are nowadays? At least they didn't have lit candles at each table. That would have been awkward for sure. For the most part though, we got our food and ate within an hour before heading upstairs to our respective rooms to chill out for the night. I didn't order any alcohol, which probably was the right choice. It was an easy option for us out of town folk who want to just eat at the hotel for sheer convenience and not want to look around town like a lost rabbit. The overall experience here at Kilarney's Irish Pub in Nashua, New Hampshire was pretty good and average as you can get. The server bartender lady that helped us with our drinks and orders was nice, professional, and friendly. At the time, the restaurant bar wasn't crowded, although there was a couple of guys that were sitting at the bar that were loud enough to make me think we should go elsewhere, but thankfully after 15 minutes afterwards, they finally left and we got the much needed peace and quiet to enjoy our meals and conversation about travel, running, and upcoming travel plans that involve marathons. Kilarney's Irish bar and grill is located at 9 Northeastern Blvd in the heart of Nashua, New Hampshire. They accept major credit cards, as mentioned before, or take a room charge, if you're staying overnight at the Holiday Inn hotel. The hotel itself boasts a lot of generous parking options. Most folks have a private vehicle or plan to rent one. I ended up renting one in Manchester, but if you don't have a vehicle there's always Uber and Lyft as viable options too. Not sure about public transportation options here, but your best bet would be in a private vehicle rented or otherwise, for convenience. Either way, parking is generous here. For the food portion, I ended up getting the BBQ Bacon cheddar burger with a nice helping of French fries and a diet coke. After the meal was over, I ordered a second helping of French fries to go. It was to be my breakfast the next morning, so I didn't have to go out shopping that night when I was quite tired from running loops in Portland Maine earlier in the day. The burger was quite tasty and delicious though. It was order rare and it was moist and juicy. Just how I liked my premium burgers to taste. The fries were good and crispy. It was like having an upscale Carl's Jr burger really. It was pub food and burgers are quite exceptional here. Best bet is to come here and check out happy hour. If you are in the area and staying overnight at this Holiday Inn Suites hotel, consider Kilarney's Irish Pub. 4.0 stars for the overall experience. 3.0 stars for the prices. 4.0 stars for the friendly service. 4.0 stars for the food. I'd recommend it! Support local! B
Staying at the Holiday Inn and we came down for dinner. There's a pub with seating and additional seating outside the pub area. The pub area was decently packed for a Friday night (and they have live bands on Fridays, but not too loud! Our waitress was really nice and friendly and that always makes the meal go better. We ordered the wings and onion rings for our appetizer. The wings were really good and the buffalo suace had just the right amount of kick. The onion rings were pretty good too. I ordered the steak salad for my main it was just OK. Others ordered the burger and fish and chips and they said it was pretty good. They have happy hour every day from 12 7pm with some really good deals. Overall, it's a nice place.
Killarney 's Irish Pub is the restaurant and bar located inside the Holiday Inn in Nashua, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu offerings include mostly pub fare and American cuisine and there are several beers on tap. A brunch buffet is offered on Sundays. The atmosphere inside the dimly lit pub area is cozy and loud with TVs, bar seating, table seating, small communal tables, and a setup area for bands and live entertainment. Happy hour is Mon-Fri 3-7PM with $1.99 Bud/Bud Light drafts and $4.99 appetizers. For those who don 't care for the bar scene, there 's also a bright open dining area in the lobby, which is provides a much quieter and family friendly atmosphere. I stopped in here earlier this evening for a pre St. Paddy 's Day dinner (Corned Beef Cabbage Buffet for $12.95, offered on Mar 16-17) to avoid the big festive green crowds on March 17th. I arrived here around 5:20PM and there was a short line to get into the pub with a staff member carding patrons entering and handing out wristbands (also for crowd management per fire dept). They were expecting large crowds for the next day with food, festivities, and live music. However, the buffet was setup outside the pub in the much quieter dining area in the hotel lobby. I was seated immediately and helped myself to the buffet. The buffet offerings were very basic and included Guiness Stew, corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, turnips, carrots, rolls, Irish soda bread butter, mustard horseradish. The Guiness stew had a good hearty flavor. The corned beef cabbage and fixins were pretty standard and good, but nothing to write home about. The thin sliced corned beef was tender, but a bit greasy with some marbled fat along the edges. The cabbage and vegetables were steamed soft and easy to eat. The service was decent. The young staff walked by my table a few times briefly checking up on me each time. The check was left at my table only 7 minutes after I was seated. The food was very filling to eat and one big plate of corned beef cabbage and 2 bowls of the stew was enough food. I will have to return to Killarney 's on another night, perhaps during happy hour or on a Wednesday night for some 25 cent wings (9-12). 3.25 stars for now FACEBOOK: [hidden link]
