Nativus - Napoli

Looking for an alternative to the usual tourist seafood/pasta/pizza dishes. Happened upon this back street restaurant. During September and October the restaurant is offering a tasting menu. Consisting of numerous courses demonstrating a broad array of Neapolitan dishes. Dishes varied from pan fried Rapini to peppered muscles and anchovies. Every one excellent in its own right. During the meal the in house pianist played a variety of Neapolitan style melodies. We were made to feel at home from the moment we stepped through the door despite our total lack of spoken Italian. If you are in Naples do not miss his delight.

They offer great wines and tasty food! Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere, worth a visit! Highly recommended!!

This absolutely amazing place was near our hotel. We came at 8 in the evening to have a dinner. Wine was good and the Seafood was fresh and delicious

What a delight to find this place. Down the hill from Grand Parkers and not far from Piazza Amadeo this little place is both a joy and a find.We visited late one night just off the plane and had a delicious selection of vegetable starters then on to a piece of beaten pork lightly lightly fried. Add a super red from Campania and some charming service and we thought we were on to a winner. Of course we may have hit Nativus on a good night so we went back. And guess what? It was just as good,actually it might have been even better. This time we had a starter of spaghetti with mussels,shell off,and a hint of chilli. Then a T bone steak which was outstanding. To finish a semi freddo ricotta deliciousness with chocolate . Another great wine and service. Oh I forgot we shared a plate of cured meats which were incredible. Smoked duck,wild boar and cured pork. So if you want great food,lovely service and a really laid back atmosphere pay Natives a visit.

We chose this restaurant because of its proximity to our hotel (Grand Hotel Parkers) and are so very pleased. Wonderful decor and great chill out music. We shared the pasta of the day which was truly fabulous. We then had a fillet steak and vegetables sublime. Highly recommend
