Bidrage med feedbackFeel the breath of history on your face. The oldest pizzeria in the world, which has been making pizza since 1738. Extremely atmospheric place. Maybe I didn't eat the best pizza in my life but it was tasty. And as always the most important question: would I go back? The answer is YES
Best pizza we've ever had. My boyfriend and I took the pizza doc and pizza with ansjovies and tomato saus. Would defenitly reccomend! We're not giving them 5 because the girl with the brown ponytail was beyond rude. She trew the bill practicaly at our face.
I went because it's the oldest pizzeria in Naples and maybe the world, and the food was very good! In fact, my salmon pizza and prosecco probably rate top tier, although I'm admittedly no pizza expert. I will say the dining area is this little fenced off area in an alley, which wasn't the most comfortable or attractive place. In their defense, it was quite busy, but they forgot about me a little bit. I asked for water and never got any, and I asked for the check and they seemed to completely forget about me again. The waitress did not seem to want to be there, which is off-putting in the service industry. But, I suppose I can understand as I'm not exactly the picture of happiness when I'm at work either! In summation, yes, I would still suggest this pizzeria. I suggest you make reservations, and go in a group (which may rate higher on their priorities list than a single guy)
Cancelled our booking with a week to go..no explanation. Emailed to ask if this was correct, but they didn’t bother replying. So it says enough about what their customers mean to them.
The place is famous. And thats it. I chose the partially AC 1st floor. The place was still empty, yet the old waiter argued over where I can sit. The pizza was hugely disappointing. It was not the classic Napolitana you expect.I had better crust, fresher tomatoes and much better ham crudo) everywhere in Italy and even outside Italy! The Parma ham was some cheap substitute. I had similar experiences in other tourist spots-they give a foreigner no credit at all and think can get away with cheap tricks. For dessert, they also tried to charge me for water I never ordered. Part of the same plan. Stay away.
