Bidrage med feedbackHere's what I ordered: 1) Bihari kabab - tasted a bit undercooked. 2) Malai chicken boti - had a good flavor. 3) Kadai chicken - nothing extraordinary, but the curry was decent. 4) Tandoori chicken - the flavor was okay, though it was a bit lackluster. 5) Plain naan - too thick for my liking. 6) Paratha - had a great taste. 7) Suji halwa - decent flavor, but it was overly oily. Overall, I wouldn't choose to return to this location. The service was satisfactory, with a wait time of about 15 to 20 minutes.
Having enjoyed the food at Bundoo Khan on Devon, I expected the same quality at the Naperville location, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. To start with the service, I placed an order over the phone and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. However, when I arrived exactly 15 minutes later, I ended up waiting an additional 55 minutes for my order. The restaurant wasn’t even that busy, so the wait felt excessive. Additionally, the dining area was filled with smoke from the grill, leading me to wonder if the exhaust system was functioning properly. When my rolls finally arrived, they were quite soggy, so we ended up just eating the meat and leaving the bread behind. I've heard that others have had similar experiences.
After encountering undercooked chicken at Anmol and Bawarchi on two separate occasions, I decided to try Bandoo Khan, located at NY and Rt 59. Unfortunately, I ran into the same issue again. The chicken had a shiny appearance and was undercooked, resulting in that familiar rubbery texture. It seems like this problem is quite common among these three restaurants, and I just can't comprehend how this continues to happen. Using a meat thermometer could really help! I would have loved to go to JK, but it's currently closed for renovations—otherwise, I'd be there every week for their consistently good food. As for the bihari kabob, the quality of the meat has declined; it was much better when they first opened before the pandemic. This is now the third time I've encountered poor quality meat with the bihari kabob. The marinade on the chicken is excellent, but it's unfortunate that the meat is consistently undercooked.
BBQ Express Grill is the suburban version of the famous Bandoo Khan restaurant from Chicago. You absolutely must try the Bihari kabab chicken boti!
I’ve noticed that most of the menu items have been unavailable during my visits over the past year. The food doesn’t taste as good as it used to. The floor is dirty and greasy, and the ventilation is poor; there’s often a lot of smoke inside when we dine there. It seems unreasonable to keep blaming the pandemic for the lack of menu options, especially since many other restaurants are managing to offer everything on their menus. I would definitely not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
