Bidrage med feedbackHad a very poor experience with there legacy collection tasting. The tasting of the wine was decent. There service and hospitality could use some work. The location of the tasting was nice and mostly private. Had an last minute party of two added to the group tasting, the other party seem to know the chef that worked there. Overall experience felt that my group was the third wheel of the tasting. Very poor first impression since I was very excited about the tasting and paid for all the extra.
While in Napa, we wanted to experience wine tasting with food pairing at a vineyard. We chose Trefethen Family Vineyards Taste the Estate at the Trefethen historic winery. The tasting was held at the original estate manor house. We were seated outside on the porch overlooking the beautiful grounds and gardens.I felt like we were in a botanical paradise. The ambiance was intimate, peaceful and small bites were delicious and beautifully presented. You realized that Chef Chris has his heart into each dish served. We were very impressed with their reserve cabernet sauvignon. Would highly recommend Trefethen 's Taste the Estate experience. Jenny was our host, and she was friendly, attentive and informative.
Our Trefethen Vineyard Tour Tasting with Michael was the highlight of our trip! Michael was so knowledgeable and welcomed all of our questions. Getting to hear about and see some of the process from seed to vine to grape to glass was exciting! Followed by a wonderful tasting it was the best morning!
Fantastic experience! Beautiful vineyard and great people. Did the Vineyard Tour Tasting experience with Michael who is amazing. He is a wonderful host, introducing the vineyard history, growing methods, winemaking and tasting.
Wow! What we booked as a last minute reservation for our Napa itinerary turned out to be our favorite tasting experience in the valley. Trefethen is a truly wonderful place and immediately stood out through not only their welcoming atmosphere but their commitment to sustainability. They are stewards of their land and it shows. My husband and I had Adam lead us through our tour and tasting and he was so incredibly knowledgeable and was genuinely excited to answer each question we asked. We learned more about the grape growing and wine making process on this one visit from Adam than we did the rest of our week in Napa. To top it all off, the wines were delicious and we ended up leaving as Trefethen wine club members after having sworn to ourselves at the start of the trip we wouldn’t sign up for any wine shipment clubs. I cannot recommend a visit to Trefethen enough if you find yourself in Napa, it will be well worth your time!
