Bidrage med feedbackIt had been awhile since the last time here. Previously, the food was very well prepared, the staff was friendly and the environment clean. As we entered, the first thing that hit me was the mustiness. The other observations were: -there was a sign stating there will be 3.5% additional charge on credit cards -the tables were all marred, scarred, scratched and/or not level -the floor under the table and elsewhere had debris mashed into it. The entire feeling of the restaurant was dead/no life and has capital issues. Between the intense mustiness and viewing the less than clean area, we walked out after being seated; but, before ordering anything. Disappointed that this establishment is nothing as it once was in the past.
We had a delightful dining experience. My companions had pho, and pronounced it among the best they had ever had. I had pan-seared bass on rice with a sauce that I am still daydreaming about. This is not an ordinary pho spot. There is a sophisticated French influence which was delightful. We will be back.
Absolutely delicious menu in the heart of old town Napa, the Bui Bistro by Chef Pho(Fu). It's a must. The French influence is easily revealed with presentation and mild spice, Asian tasty plates. It was my guest's birthday event and when requested, Chef Pho's dessert was tiramisu artistically bathed in cocoa and a design of syrup swirls. Rich and lovely, perfect surprise! The location is very good: first block over the bridge on Pearl off Soscol. Thursdays and Sundays, Waiter Benjamin makes effective the tranquil ambience with true consistent attention. Enjoyable international decor. Tres bon Chef Pho, yours is a perfect eatery in historical Napa! Thank you.
A sleeper of a restaurant tucked quietly in downtown Napa that continues to offer uniquely fresh and vibrant entrees with moderate pricing. Definitely must consider when choosing a great place to eat
Actually 3.8 stars. good service, inviting relaxed room. only that the early roll were actually burned. on a dark crack. with coal and everything. we should have sent them back, but the one has nothing to do with burning them. I do, I'm sorry, and a free dessert helped. the pho was phabulous! I am a Pho-snob, actually, and I loved the clean taste of fresh broth, adding the perfect combination of spicy things. a big was enough to share with a non-hungry spouse. I would give them another try, happy, but would definitely be burned early roll back to the kitchen. I'm sorry.
