Pho V Ta - Nanaimo

The food here is super reasonably priced (unless you want additions, then they are ok). I enjoyed the soup, wait staff was ok, but meat had a bit of a funny taste to it. I prefer other places in town.

Sometime when I work I need a place to eat something that will fill me and gives me more energy. I could go there even between my job don't need to be formal.

I have eaten in this little Restaurant several times and I have never been disappointed with the experience. The food is authentic Vietnamese cooking. My favorite way of testing Vietnamese type of restaurant is to try the chicken curry. Some do not have the full array of herbs and spices one expects in this sort of cuisine. Pho V Ta has satisfied my picky tastes in that the curry has lemongrass and basil as well as the turmeric and cumin spices one expects in South Asian flavor. The decor is plain and simple, but the food draws the local Vietnamese people who come with all their children and friends.

Every thing they serve is excellent.and if you like a good bang for your buck this is the place. My friend and I eat there often but only order a single dish and share it. Other wise we would be taking mega leftovers home.

Every trip to nanaimo this is a must do on the list. Great fresh food. It's my dad and my place do go every visit. Prices are good, service is great and food is so good.
