Mayflower Restaurant - Nanaimo

Since Din Tai Fung is not in Canada, this is my usual go-to for quality xiao long baos.

- Service is efficient and food arrived quickly after ordering - Looks somewhat busy, wait times aren't long.

I really wanted Mayflower takeout for Mother's Day dinner but was hesitant when reading the recent reviews. We decided just to go with it anyways and I am glad we did. The food was great, as always. The sweet & sour pork could have used a bit more sauce, but it was still good. Also we would have liked more than 3 soy sauce for 4 people but we had some at home so it was a non-issue. We'll be back. It's our favorite Chinese food in Nanaimo!

If you like crappy rude service, questionable food and eating from dirty dishes, boy oh boy, this is the place for you! They have a cheap buffet but eat here at your own risk.
