Bees knees Cafe - Nanaimo

The café is bright and cheerful... a wonderful atmosphere where you can enjoy a wonderful menu. The food is freshened daily in the house! The kitchen is wide open and visible to its patrons, who really helps you understand the care and proudly take the...staff to offer their customers a first-class snack or full meal.

My family visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Unfortunately, there were remnants of food scattered on the ground next to our table that were not cleaned up during the hour we were there, despite the cafe being nearly empty. Our drinks arrived quickly, but we had to wait over half an hour for our food. The sandwiches were lacking in filling and the side dish contained egg despite us informing the staff of an allergy. When we asked about the ingredients, the server simply removed the side dish without offering a replacement. The sandwiches were expensive at over $16 each and left us still hungry. We ended up ordering more food because we didn't want to go elsewhere with small children in tow. We also noticed that the prices were not listed on the website intentionally. Paying $16-17 for a sandwich that was not filling and served on mediocre bread was disappointing. The restaurant may have a trendy decor, but the high prices and messy floors left us feeling unsatisfied. Overall, we spent close to $100 for a meal for two adults and one child.

Wonderful homemade and delicious dishes. Breakfast cookies and delicious food are always great and they are a good offer of sandwiches. Very friendly staff.

Really nice family café with delicious food. Speciality teas and coffees, good selection of delicious food and snacks at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be back for more.

The restaurant has a very warm and inviting atmosphere adorned with gorgeous Persian artwork and posters showcasing the Iranian countryside. The Americanos were made perfectly and the Rose Chai Latte with cinnamon was a delightful and refreshing option to typical coffee drinks. The Blueberry and Lemon muffins were flawless. We regretted not trying the Breakfast Wrap as they looked incredible!
