Holy Cow Idaho - Nampa

It’s a fantastic restaurant but walked in to staff wearing pride pins and still wearing a mask. We probably go there once a week and won’t be coming again unless they can stop promoting these ideas. I appreciate when companies don’t get involved in politics. Just serve food.

I stopped in early afternoon after seeing some rave reviews of Holy Cow. I really wanted to love this place but found it pretty average. I ordered the Sawtooth Steak Melt $18) which looked great and had nice flavor. The steak was a solid gray and some pieces were pretty chewy. The fries were nicely seasoned. The Strawberry and White Pepper Margarita $11 or $12) was a disappointment. The description indicated there was a pepper syrup in it but I didn’t get any pepper or spice notes. It tasted like a mild strawberry margarita. In retrospect Holy Cow seems more geared to beer than cocktails. The service was outstanding but there were only 2-3 customers.I don’t mind paying for good food but I felt the food was average at best and a little overpriced. The restaurant interior was nondescript but there was a nice little patio. I love supporting local businesses but there was nothing that stood out that would make me want to return. The reality is that there are other similarly priced restaurants that have better food and cocktails.

Great burgers! All waygu beef. Highly recommend the tots. Crispy all the way through without being hard/burned. The fry sauce was great. Had a nice tang to it, didn't taste like plain thousand island.Vegetarian options: They have impossible burger pattiesDietary restrictions: They had a gluten free bun option.

It's been over since my last visit. Prices have gone up. I was placed at a table with my kid where everyone walked by. I had the Same Elliott last time. It was a great burger. This time, I had Fish and Chips. My kid got the Sawtooth Steak Melt.Both menu items were within .50 cents in price of each other. What surprised me is that the Ciabatta bun fell apart as my kid ate it and the batter on my fish was goey. Also, compared my kids plate. I got a minimal amount of french fries. The Cole slaw was bland. It tasted like it was just shredded cabbage and mayo.

Loved the eats! We all had different orders (5 ppl). Tasty fish and chips. A lil greasy is all. Fried pickles good. Decent kids menu. 2nd time eating here while visiting. Good place for fans with small kiddos.
