Chapala's - Nampa

The restaurant features a festive Mexican theme that's enjoyable without being overwhelming, unless you're near a large group. It's always clean, even in the restrooms. The menu is extensive, offering a variety of seafood and vegetarian options, alongside the usual chicken, pork, and beef dishes. One standout appetizer is the queso cheese dip, which includes chopped jalapeño peppers—absolutely delicious! They make their own corn chips and tortillas, ensuring everything is fresh, and the salsa is quite tasty. There is usually a special on the board offering $2 to $3 off the menu price. The servers work collaboratively to attend to tables, so there isn't a designated server for each table, except the one who brings the check. Food delivery is prompt. However, our group of four did encounter a quality issue: the Camarones a la Crema was missing the mushrooms and had carrots substituted without any prior notice. The house margaritas are generous in size (priced at $10.99), but their quality is just average—not exceptional or poor. One downside is the cleaning routine; if you arrive close to closing time, they start using a shop vac about 30 minutes before closing, which can be quite disruptive. Personally, I don't agree with this practice of cleaning while customers are still dining. Overall, though, it remains a good Mexican restaurant.

We door dashed dinner. It was delicious. Ordered a side of rice and beans and the portion was huge!

The food was excellent! I've never had mushrooms on my shrimp, yum. My mom said it was better than Chevys and that's her favorite. The complimentary salsa was a bit spicy but still really good and flavorful. The service was top notch. I'm from out of state and Idaho really shines when it comes to customer service people are just genuinely kind. Ambience was perfect they have Mexican music, colors and artifacts inside. It really takes you there. 5/5 would come again.

The food was incredible! I had the camarones a la crema and the chicken enchiladas, both of which were delicious. The service was quick and friendly as well. I will definitely be coming back!

Not bad! We have been looking for a good Mexican place since we moved here and it's been a journey! When we pulled in, the parking lot was completely full so we expected a long wait, however, This place was actually pretty great in getting us seated in a timely manner, drinks out quick and food out quick even though they were slamming busy! The wait staff were so friendly and on top of keeping our drinks full and our plates picked up after we were finished. Sadly, I am giving this a 4 star because the prices were way higher than expected! I've been to several Mexican restaurants around the country and gotten the same meal for half the price so it was a little shock when the bill came. Some items were not priced on the menu either. Food was good with a fair amount of flavor! We probably won't be back just because of the prices though. But check it out for yourself! Everything else was spot on and really amazing for a busy restaurant!!!
