The Rusty Reel Oceanfront Grill

The food and service are outstanding—staff frequently check in to see if you need anything or want more drinks. The homemade chips are delicious and served in generous portions. Both the turkey sandwich and shrimp dishes are fantastic!

I own an apartment at this resort, but we didn't dine at the Rusty Reel initially because we saw mixed reviews and were unsure. I’m not sure who wrote those reviews, but we had a fantastic experience with delicious food and exceptional service! Our server, Steve, was not only attentive but also wonderfully entertaining! If you're staying at the Breakers, make sure to save your big parking spot and check out this place. The prices still seem to be at pre-COVID and pre-Ukraine conflict levels.

Rusty Reel is situated on Ocean Blvd, right next to the Breakers Hotel on the beach side. This bar features a lazy river, swimming pool, juke box, and fantastic beach views. We stopped by to visit Andy at the hotel bar below for some drinks and lunch. Andy was incredibly friendly and recommended the daily special drink, which was a mix of passion fruit rum, orange juice, pineapple juice, and coconut juice for just $5. For lunch, we ordered a shrimp and oyster po' boy and a chicken Caesar wrap. Both dishes were absolutely delicious!

We stay on the breakers for a birthday, and we thought at the Rusty Reel for a quick drink, Tim is by far the coolest bartender ever! Give the man an increase! 10 out of 10 would recommend as long as Tim works.

The staff was friendly and the food was good but WAY overpriced for what it was.
