Bidrage med feedbackI visited this park twice and it was so shocking! The first time was to appreciate various plants, smell the faint fragrance of osmanthus, watch the elegant hanging moss swaying in the wind on the tall old oak trees, and the scenery of the rice fields under the setting sun. The second time I focused on appreciating various sculptures, I was moved by the love story of the protagonist couple?. At the same time, I deeply admire Ms. Anna. Her sculptures are diverse, including various wild animals and characters of different shapes, especially The statue of Don Quixote makes me linger. I would like to visit this treasure garden many times when I have the chance to come here.
I went to Brookgreen Gardens during my vacation in Myrtle Beach last year in May. The outdoor American Sculpture museum is huge! I'm the type of person who loves art and all its mediums and this was such a treat. Sculptures displayed in such a breathtaking garden setting as well as viewing many more in galleries and storage facilities. This is a go to every time I think of visiting Myrtle Beach. Will definitely stop by for another visit this upcoming Spring, this time a stroll through the Lowcountry Zoo Reserves. Can't hardly wait!
We had a great time walking through the gardens, viewing the sculptures, learning about the low country enslavement history, and strolling the native zoo. Though $22 seemed a bit much at first, we thought it was well worth it, even in the off season (maybe even moreso with the smaller crowds). All of the volunteers we met were pleasant and helpful. Highly accessible for those who need accommodations
Just incredible. The combination of culture, nature, and art is unsurpassed. Immaculately kept by dedicated volunteers. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and all over the property to help you understand what you're looking at. It's worth twice the price of admission. The grounds, the galleries, the zoo, all a must see when you are in the area. It's one of the coolest places I've seen in a long time.
I've been to many gardens across the country and Brookgreen is truly magical. As a local I have season passes and even some of my guests have purchased them so they can visit every time they come to Myrtle. We love Harvest and the Old kitchen for dining. We've enjoyed every event we've attended and also love the museums. A must see if you're in the area!
