The Watering Hole - MURPHYS

Took Husband there for his birthday lunch. I knew what to expect ordering food etc. It was a Monday so not alot of people. Sitting at the bar provides you with service, (only 8 stools). Sitting outside or at tables you have to pick up and clean up yourself. Not a big deal unless you are expecting table service. The staff we interacted with were great. Very informative for being our frist time there. I love the area. Will be back to enjoy one of there music afternoons befoe the season is finished.

The atmosphere at The Watering Hole in Murphys appeared promising, giving off a fun and casual vibe. The ordering process was straightforward—though exclusively at the counter—but had its limitations. Unfortunately, they were strict on cooking the burger no less than well-done, which may not suit all preferences.⁣⁣I was surprised to find that what was labeled as a 'double burger ' felt more like a single, owing to the small size of the patties. When I approached the manager to ask if the burger could be remade with four patties instead of two, I was told that wasn 't an option. However, he did offer the alternative of purchasing two separate burgers.⁣⁣While the place looked inviting, the lack of options and flexibility left me feeling disappointed. Overall, if you 're not particular about your burgers and enjoy a laid-back atmosphere, you might find this spot adequate. But if you 're looking for customizable options and hearty portions, this might not be the place for you.

They have a huge selection of beer, both on tap and in the bottle. The atmosphere is awesome and the food is good.

I went to the Watering Hole the other day and I thought there was solid food with great beer selection. There is also great ambiance… in terms of the customer service I thought it was utterly terrible. Me and my family were treated with extreme hostility. I think if the owner had no customers at all he would be one of the happiest restaurant owners ever. I would make sure to have as little staff interaction as possible at this restaurant unless you want your day ruined. It is truly disappointing because there is such a great vibe by the place, but the staff problem needs to get fixed ASAP.

Six stars for the beer, four for service and two for food. A cool spot to stop, the selection of beer is incredible, I’ll go back just for the beer (the person who left a review saying they only have IPAs has absolutely no idea… . The double cheeseburger was exceptional; cheesesteak sandwich was passable, anchovy butter pasta was absolutely horrible (and I love anchovies! ; blue cheese mac excessively rich; artichoke hearts were okay but way overpriced. I look forward to returning to try some more of their beers on tap…
