Bidrage med feedbackOrdered two coconut cream pies for a birthday party and no one at the party could eat more than a few bites of their slice. The middle was so thick and very sweet. It was closer to the consistency of chess pie. There was hardly no coconut flavor. They were awful! I had a lot of leftovers and ended throwing them in trash because even the biggest sweet lovers could not eat it. I spent $27 each because it was a special occasion. i wish I would of bought the Marie Callender's from Kroger that I had bought before but since it was a special party I went to a pie shop.
I received a coupon for a free pie on my birthday, just like I do every year. However, when I went to redeem it, the employee informed me that they weren't honoring the coupon because they couldn't afford to. If that's the case, why send it in the first place? In the future, when I'm deciding where to go for dessert, which place do you think I’ll choose? The cake shop that happily gave me a free cake and wished me a happy birthday, or the pie shop that sent me a coupon but refused to accept it? I tried reaching out to the business before posting this review, but unfortunately, I didn't receive a response.
Every pie I've had here is fantastic! As someone who often rushes around, this is my favorite spot to grab pies before family gatherings. They never fail to impress!
The staff were very friendly, but the quality of the food didn't meet my expectations. I understand that reviews are subjective, but this was my experience. The coconut cream pie was excessively sweet, with an overwhelming amount of coconut extract, and the crust resembled a butter cookie rather than a proper pastry. I had high hopes for a great pie bakery in Murfreesboro, but unfortunately, this was not it.
Stopped in to see what it's all about and ended up with 4 small pies for $19 +tax). The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the price was reasonable to me.The packaging is a lot. It's in an aluminum tin that's suspended in essentially a bubble of plastic. If you follow me, you know I try to avoid that type of thing, but I get it. They're to protect the pie.We got 1 pumpkin, 1 peanut butter chocolate, 1 chocolate cream, and 1 buttermilk. My partner loved his PB one. The chocolate cream was really good with a chocolate crust ?The pumpkin was lackluster to me. No punch of pumpkin; the crust and little sugary pumpkin on top overwhelmed the filling flavor. We haven't had the buttermilk yet, but it has the same crust as the pumpkin, so I am assuming it'll be similar. In sum: I liked it, but not enough to seek it out again and risk the barley for it. If you like sugar cookie style crust, though, this is your place!
