Jodha akbar. The name reminded me of the huge Mahal where Hrithik is walking with Aishwarya. The decor was similar to that era only. Lighting, cute designs of the windows and the best part was the Menu. It was written in a scroll. Totally loved it. Also, the background music was very soothing. In short, i was in love with the Ambience. Now it was time to check the food. We started off with the Mocktails Fresh Lime Soda The tanginess is what it makes such a good drink. Black Current fizz Tangy, sweet liked the drink. Hawwaiian Blonde looked so pretty, but was too sweet to handle. Guava Mary A little spicy. Personally not a fan of Guava. Hence a no no for me. Coming to the Starters, we had Spring roll Crispy. That's how it was. Dahi ke Kebab Not the softest Dahi ke kebab but tasted good. Tandoori Lollipop Something new in the menu. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Hara Bhara Kebab Very soft and Delicious. After the tasty starters, we moved on to the Main Course Shahi Dal Makhni Thick Dal makhni can lift your mood and this one did. Kashmiri Dum Aloo Can be tried if you're looking for something different. Subze Korma This was one good dish to try. All sorts of veggies prepared together which tasted quite good. Murgh Masala The masala of the gravy was lip smacking. Totally loved it. Paneer Makhni Creamy and tasty. After the delicious Main Course, it was time to end it with some Desserts Gulab Jamun with ice cream A small glass with ice cream in it and topped up with Gulab jamun. Do you need anything else? Shahi kheer The Shahi kheer didn't taste so Shahi to me. Tasted average. Overall A great place to try some authentic Mughlai food and go backin time and come back satisfied. Loved the place!
Jodha akhbar restaurant will give you feels of some royal dining. It is a great place for a romantic date or even family dinners. The ambience and service is on point too. Coming to the food, we tried dahi ke kebabs, paneer tikka and corn malai kebab. Dahi ke kebabs were crispy from outside and soft inside. The texture was amazing, secondly paneer tikka was perfectly toasted in tandoor. In the main course my recommendation is to try dal makhani and sabz e qorma. They both just give a gret taste with some butter naan and green chutney. Also,we tried some drinks like hawaiian blonde, virgin mojito and pina colada. These drinks are a must try, a mix of tangy and sweet flavour makes it complete. Overall, a simple royal themed restaurant which takes you back to the time of our history treasures with decent food and drinks.
Heard a lot about this place from friends and yesterday i got a chance to visit this place . As the name says ‘JODHA AKBAR’ , the restaurant theme was just like that and infact they will give you that caps to make the ambience quite lively. We started with mocktails : Fruit punch : quite good and fruity Black current : sweet and tangy Fresh lime soda : Must a try good one Coming to starters: I had mushrooms buttons : They were really very good and properly baked Crispy spring rolls : The stuffing was good Dahi ke kebab and corn malai tikka : They both became my favourite, so soft and smooth. Panner tikka : It was okay type Then we ordered main course , in that we had Amritsari chole , dal makhni , paneer and mushroom , lacha parantha and rice Please try chole they were totally amazing . Im the end for desserts: We had gulab jamun with vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup: Good combination and tasty
Yesterday with a few friends to lunch. after the name, the whole theme of this site was held on walls from pre-hanging to the deck to artworks. the place is not so big, but has enough space/seat for almost 25-30 people, I would say. I'm coming to eat. we had a couple of starters, including dahi kebabs, mais Malai search, spring rolls. dahi kebabs were crispy from outside and although very smooth creamy and very well spiced from inside, but I felt just a bit dry. spring rolls were presented as dishes and were very good, the outer layer was very crisp and the filling was also good. but the star dish was the cornmalai smell, only melt in a mouth soft with balanced flavor. for the netzen we had shahi dal makhni, pindi chana, subze korma, mushroom mughlai. the dal makhni although good in taste, but was not as authentic in taste as you wish. pindi chana was good, chanas were soft well cooked and the masala supplements it was good. subze korma gravy/masala was very creamy and tasty in taste. the butter we felt was thin until the Lacha canths were really soft. for desserts we had gulab jamuns with ice and kheer. gulab jamun with ice cream were served in small bullet glasses, it is a combination of heaven and they can never go wrong with this, but my gulab jamun would like to be a bit hot. I'm not much of a tough person, so for me the guy was okay. the service was also good. overall a very good experience, it is worth trying to eat when they are around and looking for a good place.
