Wiener's - Munich

I lived in Germany as a child and was so happy to change planes in Munich. My goal was to find a restaurant that served my favorite bratwurst on a broetchen with hot mustard, pomme frites with mayonnaise and a cola (but lots of beer if you like). We visited over ten places and they served sushi, asian food, German meatloaf....everything except what I wanted. Then we found Wiener's, and boy was my wife relieved. Go there and enjoy a meal that will bring your childhood back!

I got the breakfast deal at Wieners for 12,90 Euros. Two fried eggs, some bacon and a slice of ham. That together with some bread, butter and to drink I got coffee and a small glass of orange juice. Rather good and typically german.

They server Bavarian fast food and few other quick bites. I was here for breakfast and got myself a fried egg and also German beer. The quality and service is good. Also liked the pretzel they served. You can have full german breakfast here. The prices are not cheap but at par with Airport restaurant prices.

I grabbed a late lunch at "Wieners" at Munich airport T2 on my way back to the UK after a business trip to Munich... I wanted to eat 'German' food (rather than at the Thai Restaurant next door) and so headed to Wieners for some Chicken Schnitzel and Potatoes. The Schnitzel was taken from the display counter and dropped into a deep fat fryer, whilst the potatoes where zapped in a Microwave Oven, a couple pieces of cucumber and tomato were then added to the plate and I handed over€13.80, the small bottle of sparkling water I had was also way over priced at €3.35So okay in summary the food was edible but it was simply way over priced for what you got and so I'd not bother eating here again.

I had a really short transfer time in Munich on my way to New Delhi from Lisbon that got me to wieners cafe at terminal 2 of Munich airport. The service is fast,prices are attractive, vegetarian folks also have an option to eat. Overall enjoyed the quick drink and place.
