Venue not what we expected...needs sprucing up! Pleasant, friendly server but only one due to a slow night because of the Packer game so service was slow. Food came out hot and freshly prepared and delicious. Not sure if we would take the drive again, though.
We had tapas and enjoyed our selections The beef was a tad chewy and that is why I gave it a 4 It is a gem of a building and the chef/owner should be proud. I would love to see more people frequent this lovely establishment off of ES in Mukwanago
This was our first visit to the Villa at Heaven City. Owner/ executive chef Robert does a wonderful job. He uses the freshest of ingredients (including some from his own garden) to create great dishes. We love prime rib and it was tonight's special. 14 ounce served with homemade mashed potatoes (with the skins) and a mix of delicious veggies came with the prime rib for only $23.99 (a 28 once portion was offered for $32.99). The prime rib was seasoned perfectly and served at a perfect medium rare. He had also created a special glaze that was served on the side with a small cup of au jus. Although old, the building is very historic and has a history of being haunted way back to the days of Al Capone. There's even a book of articles on the bar if you want to learn a little more. During our dinner, we said that we had some questions regarding the chef's table that was offered on Groupon and chef Robert came out and talked to us for a good 5 minutes to fill us in. We signed up before we left. It was fantastic! Better than most of the wine dinners that we've gone to for some high end restaurants (although wine was not included...it had to be purchased). That night he prepared 7-9 courses right before our eyes...shared some of the history...shared why he and how he was preparing each dish. We will be back and look forward to it!!! This was our first time there and can't wait to return. We each had the 10 oz filet and they were cooked to perfection! Food presentation was excellent as well.
