Shin Thai

When my boyfriend and I visited this establishment last week we had both be craving good Chinese food and we were certainly not disappointed. From the authentic setting to the friendly staff, we enjoyed every second of our visit. The chow mein was exactly to my liking, a great variety of vegetables that were perfectly cooked and also, lots of meat for my boyfriend who avoids the veg at all costs! The dim sum was amazing and I cannot wait to see more of this place in the future!

The only downside is that they only take cash, but for the R200 we had on us, we managed to order a pot of jasmine tea that had real jasmine flowers in it, sushi platter and a relatively decent sized portion of green curry with rice. Everything was delicious, the waiter didn't interrupt our meal like at other places and it was quiet which was great! Sorry we couldn't tip more, we didn't know it was cash only. We'll be back with more people next time. Thanks for a great evening!

Wow! Best dim sum I’ve had in a long time. Sushi was fresh and tasty. Impressed!

This is a place to visit for awesome fresh food, amazing sushi, unbelievable value, but sadly dated in terms of decor. The lunch special is simply unbeatable and really well prepared. So if you're happy to be in what's more a cafe style venue with no views, but want to eat great food that's well prepared and good portions, this is well worth a visit. Bear in mind you can have your meal take away and eat it on the beach if you like!!

This is a totally underrated gem of a restaurant. Not very well known, I guess because it doesn't look like anything special from outside, but a menu full of delights for the palette! Their sushi is the best in the valley, in my opinion... One major point to take note of before dining here, they do not accept any cards at all. Payment is by cash only
