Pizzeria Dell'ulivo

We are Americans living in Italy, and we have been to dell’Ullivo at least 10 times when we lived within walking distance. We have since moved further away and still drive 20 minutes to this town weekly solely for this restaurant. The staff are warm, kind, and patient with my broken Italian (you can always use google translate if you get stuck! . The pizza is equally incredible- traditional Neapolitan crust that is springy and light, with fresh toppings and harmonious flavor profiles for the pizzas on their seasonal menu. We love to grab two glasses of house wine and sit down for an hour or two in the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. EVEN BETTER is that they also make gluten free pizzas/desserts (certified GF by the Italian celiac association and the pizza crusts are near impossible to tell apart from the regular crusts: they are fully risen, springy to the touch, and contain none of the off-flavors or textures of traditional GF pizza crusts. They have also been very knowledgeable about which ingredients contain gluten (e.g. meatballs, sauces, etc . We look forward to continuing to eat here and further explore the menu! P.S. the owners also have a Gelato shop just up the street with the smoothest, most refreshing gelato I’ve ever had (e.g. the pistachio gelato actually tastes like roasted pistachio paradise, not chemicals

Located in the town of Mugnano del Cardinale, some 30 kms east of Naples, this gem of a family restaurant has some of the best pasta and pizza that we've tasted in Italy. The menu is focused, the wine list well put together, and the staff cheerful and welcoming. We dined with friends of the family and had the menu selected for us, all of which tasted amazing. Make sure to reserve a table Friday-Sunday as it gets busy after 8 pm.

I came here solo for lunch. The restaurant was completely empty yet they refused to seat me. I’ve never had this experience anywhere before. Stay away from here.

Ho trovato più attenzione ai dettagli, con grande cura in ogni singolo corso. pulizia eccellente, sia in camera che nei bagni. camerieri molto gentili nonostante la pienezza della serata. antipasti composti da bruschette, fritte e polpette. ottime materie prime, con salse di accompagnamento molto squisite. notate la cura anche in pizze, soprattutto gourmet e curati, come potete vedere nella foto. e tuttavia non siamo riusciti a finirli; pasta e condimento un po 'troppo pesante, si ottiene davvero ponderato alla fine del pasto. Conto un po' più in alto della media. con qualche intuizione, può diventare un posto eccellente.

La pizza e i panzerotti senza glutine sono buoni. Tuttavia, c'è un po' troppa attesa per i piatti.
