The restaurant in the Viktual market specialises in good honest simple food! We ate here during the evening and the atmosphere in the market is amazing. There is a certain buzz in the air but without being rowdy. After ordering our beer we ordered the food where i had pork belly and my wife had venison. When we got the food i had what appeared to be the whole of the pigs belly and Rachael's looked equally impressive, with the food we both had a choice of dumpling and a bowl of Salad each. The food was not dressed up in anyway or presented exquisitely, it was simply dumped on the plate, you knew what you were getting and it was simply done. However this simplicity is what made the food so special, it tasted delicious and was a joy to eat in an amazing atmosphere. Overall though was simply three simple things whacked on a plate it was done with such honesty that it showed simple honest food is the best when it does not pretend to be anything else.
