Bidrage med feedbackUnexpectedly we visited the cool Japanese bar restaurant on so-called Niku (meat) no Hi (day), which is every 29th month. It is a flat meat menu, all you can eat in serving style with different choices of meat that you can order... per 100g or number of pieces that vary according to meat type. As a supplement you can choose mixed grilled vegetables, cabbage salad with Japanese dressing or Japanese rice ball, called Onigiri. In the rice ball they put the Japanese dried plum Umeboshi. The onigiri is wrapped with the roasted laver. We chose Iberian pig, Sirloin Steak, Mutton. The Iberian meat was the best choice this day, incredibly delicate and tasty. Without drinks, ladies pay 35€, Gents 45€, children and students receive discount. It is important that you leave on your plate, otherwise you will be asked for a penalty payment. So order as much as you are able to finish. On the 29th they serve only this flat rate menu and no la carte. If you like meat and have great appetite, it is worth trying to enjoy a few family with small children this menu. Inside is beautifully decorated with comfortable leather sofa, there is enough space. Very friendly staff. Most guests are Japanese.
We visited Japa Tapa with some excitement about the tapas concept, but really, the menu was the standard Japanese fare. The night we went to dinner, there was only one server, and she was really stressed, although the restaurant was maybe half full. There was no background music that simply added to the eeriness of the place. It took about 30 minutes to get our first drinks and take our order for them. She was really nice, and I felt really bad for her, but it was difficult to understand the stress level and why it influenced the entire ambience. The edamam we ordered came with many brown spots and tasted like something you received as a court at a non-Japanese bar. The gyoza was tasty and tiny, as in a child's bite size tiny, which means per bite, it was over EUR 1, which seemed expensive for the portion size. The sushi was on his last legs and not very appealing. Overall, the price corresponded to the right sushi spots so that the price-value ratio was not there, as the food tasted more like what you get in a dune dash-Japanese spot. We're not going back.
I found this place by chance when I went around looking for lunch. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. I ordered her special on the day that consisted of tapas, rice, elan soup, salad and Tempora chicken. You also do... Generic wine pours:
Im Unterschied zum Toshi ein paar hundert Meter weiter ist das kein (Sushi-) Restaurant sondern eine japanische Kneipe und Sake-Bar. Also eher einfache, landestypische Speisen (z.B. frittierter Oktopus=Tako Karaage oder Takoyaki= Teigkugel mit Okotpus). Deftige, sehr ergiebige, Udon-Suppe mit Rindfleischscheiben. Günstige Preise um die 15 €.Unverständlicherweise dauert es aber (bei mehreren Besuchen) lange, teils unerträglich, (beim letzten mal über 1 Stunde!) bis endlich das Gericht kommt. Gerade bei einer Kneipe würde ich mir einen eher flotten Service erwarten.
Hier geben wir 3 von 5 Punkten, da leider nur 2 der 4 Gänge super lecker warenWir hatten uns für das 4 Gänge Menü entschieden also Vorspeise Lachs, dann Suppe mit Tempura Garnele und Gemüse, Hauptspeise einmal Fisch einmal Fleisch und Matcha Eis als Dessert.Die Einrichtung ist schön, wir haben ein Platz für 4 bekommen und somit viel Freiraum gehabt und da wir die ersten Gäste waren, ging auch die Bestellung flink und unkompliziert.Gang 1 Lachs, sehr lecker. Fisch etwas fettig, keine Sashimi Qualität, aber das passte genau so. Die Suppe mit Tempura war sehr gut, auch wenn die Tempura natürlich weich wird in der Suppe. Der Hauptgang war enttäuschend. Das Gemüse versalzen, Fisch und Fleisch nur ok von der Qualität her.Das Matchaeis hat nach Matcha geschmeckt, aber auch nach Wasser, also kein SorbetDa wir einen Groupongutschein hatten ist Preis Leistung ok, sonst wären wir unzufriedener. Wiederkommen werden wir wohl nicht
