The old man behind the counter and what appeared to be his daughter were running the place and he was the cook. The menu is fairly big with a lunch card. It's a pretty good deal at €5 for most items on the Mittagskarte. I chose to go with Pho my benchmark for Vietnamese restaurants and it was good. The broth was nice and flavourful. A bit of chili added to that and I was in heaven ha ha ha. I picked up the bowl and drank every drop of the broth. Simple but tasty is the best way to put it. Happily come here again for Pho. At €6.50 it's a bargain for a nice tasting soup.
I have mixed feeling about this place, been there thrice. Food: it can be really spicy just the way I like), however during my last trip, I found pieces of chicken in my veg. dish. They cook everything in the same wok : Ambience: They have an open kitchen right next to the table, so yes you will smell and probably burn your eyes) which something spicy is being prepared. The tables are tiny, often have to wait few good minutes before you can get a place to seat.
One of the most authentic Viet places in the area (if not in The whole city)... Reasonable prices, always crowded during Friday nights and they're never shy with the scharf! Try the crispy duck with chili sauce.
This is my go-to Asian spot in Munich. This is a hole-in-the-wall joint with only about 5-6 tables inside. There are only about 2-3 people on staff at a time. Everything is made to order. I've never ordered the same thing twice and have come here 3-4 times, and so far everything has been delicious. The duck dish with the noodles comes in a deep musky broth, topped with a sliced, fried duck. The portion of the rice dishes are huge. Enough to take home for two, or if you're really hungry and eat the entire thing, anticipate a nap. As you sit in this small bistro, you'll notice the care they put into each dish. It's not rushed like some Chinese places. They take their time and they don't charge much for it. Enjoy the food without hot sauce first. The heat might be enough!
Love this place. Everything is cooked to order and there's a varied menu. Good quality, generous portions, very reasonable prices. The house white wine is also pretty decent, cheap, served nice and cooooold and they're generous with the pours. I've tried maybe a dozen different dishes here and liked them all, whether for eat-in or takeout. The Mi Vit soup is incredible and they do good curries.
