Golden Twenties - München

I have walked by this place numerous times and has always looked quite appealing. Finally we decided to give this place a try tonight. I am giving it three stars only because the service was very slow and uncoordinated. They had no shortage of staff but it was just slow. It started off well and when we arrived they took us to our table quickly and had reserved a table for us as requested outside. There is plenty of outdoor seating and the inside is also reasonably big. What started as quick service soon turned to a long wait for service and the food was also quite late. The menu is reasonably extensive with a range of fish, pasta, starters and pizzas. There is also a reasonable drinks menu including some ok wine. We waited for at least 15 minutes or more for them to come and take orders and waited another 35 mins for the starters to arrive. They did serve some great bread and grissini sticks which kept me from giving them two stars : Food here is good, flavorful and tasty. My starter of scampi with swordfish carpaccio was really nice (I have had much better before and my main course of pasta with truffles was also quite good. I would come back here if the service improves. I would also takeaway pizza here as it is quite good. A reasonably expensive place for poor service.

I was looking forward to trying their pizza and it really tasted like cardboard. The tomato salad was nice but the pizza was super disappointing. Only good thing was that it was cheap, but that fact alone still wouldn't bring me back.

Today for the first time in the golden twentieth beautiful environment, very friendly service, the card promises gaumenfreuden. Unfortunately, what is written here has not come. very bad. Maybe another one.

Who wants to eat extravagant pizza is here. The restaurant actually consists of two- a bistro and a restaurant... Map's the same. Super nice host couple. If you have to wait for the table, there is Prosecco free and you do not starve at this time. Also good for renting events! Beautiful ambience!
