Closed: Müli - Muelligen

A total of 25 persons on Saturday evening. Tiny tatarbreads to start with. A beautiful Riesling from Tegerfelden. Entree from the buffet: diverse salads, melon and ham, Terrine and more. Afterwards fish, chicken, Roastbeef, pork with vegetables, gratins, Rice. Dessert a blackforest cake, icecake and diverse small Sweets. Waiters had to serve the dishes with normal cutlery. I would suggest to use Service cutlery to ease the Job!

The Muli was one of the few restaurants in the area that was not fully booked on a Friday evening. The location is a bit hidden away but worth the visit. The menu is typically Swiss. The quality was good but it was expensive (compared to Basel). The staff were friendly and welcoming.

The outside is nice and quite. Once inside, different room have different ambiance. We were unlucky to be placed in the room where the bar is. You should absolutely avoid that! You feel like being in the kitchen. The lady is drying the glass listening to a small radio when you are eating. Even worse: at some point she start the dish washer which covers the radio and any other sound. Service is average. You can see that they try to do well but in a unprofessional way. You also don't feel very welcomed. The meal quality varies a lot. Most of the dishes are not very sophisticated. However you can find some nice and well cooked dishes. I choose the average evaluation to take into account that, if placed in another room, the stay could have been much more pleasant. You can find wine from the region of great quality :

Besonders ausgewiesene vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Die Burger und der hausgemachte Eistee waren hervorragend! Die Speisen werden liebevoll angerichtet, auch die veganen. Gemütliches Ambiente, frisch renoviert, und ein schöner Außenbereich.

It was very good. it was unpleasant that it was only as little toast on the big splitar as if they order the tartar as an appetizer.
