Square Mile Public House - Mountville

Don't expect to watch a game on the Sunday Ticket here. There are only three TVs, and they only showed two football games, so they couldn't change the channel on the third one. Quite disappointing!

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The waitress, who also served as the bartender, took over ten minutes just to take our order. We waited an hour for our food, and other tables that arrived after us were served before us. My husband asked a different waitress to check on our meal, and we waited another ten minutes only to be told that the kitchen was backed up. Three minutes later, they brought out a side salad. Frustrated, we decided to get up and leave without having eaten anything. Food rating: 1.

What a disappointment. I can’t understand how this place has 4.1 stars. It wasn’t even busy when we arrived. We sat down and waited 10 minutes for the waitress, who also happened to be the bartender, to take our drink orders. As the place started to fill up, we waited almost an hour without receiving our food, all while watching other tables who arrived after us enjoying their meals. I approached a different waitress to ask about our order, and she told me the kitchen was backed up. I mentioned that we had been there before those other tables, but received the same response. After an hour, they finally brought my wife's salad, and at that point, we decided to leave. It was an incredibly frustrating experience.

This is a wonderful local restaurant and bar that serves incredibly delicious pizza, amazing appetizers, and even better main courses. The staff is always friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience. The upscale decor is excellent, featuring booths, high-top tables, and regular four-person tables. The place is clean and beautifully maintained, with a great variety of dishes on the menu. While the menus could use an update, this is a minor issue. The atmosphere attracts a great crowd, and the bartenders are excellent, friendly, and attentive. Parking could be more spacious, but you'll likely find a nearby spot even when the lot is full. Overall, it's a fantastic place for dining in.
