Super happy! for $15 during this time, a great amount of food! the process of taking up the food (from ordering on caviar pickup to foot in and taking up the piping hot food was seamless. really happy :

Super cute small Japanese restaurant. The food is super simple (but still tasty). The only reason why I'm not giving 5 stars is I had better Japanese food elsewhere but this place is extremely nice and convenient for a quick and reasonably priced lunch. (And the service was amazing)

Updated review 10/16/2021: The weather was perfect for outdoor dining. The tables were in the shade and kept us cool. We had the combo B $15.50), combo C $16) with black garlic ramen and little shrimp tempuras $1.75 each). The little gyudon beef bowl) that came with combo C tasted pretty good. I do still preferred the combo B because of the California roll and gyoza. Pitchers of beer are no longer available. Our waiter explained they don't the kegs anymore. Beer is only available in a bottle. Great job everyone at Maru Ichi. Love the ramen combos! Original review: Indoor dining 4/26/2021. Tonight, I had the combo B side of pot stickers california roll) with black garlic ramen. The color and flavor of the black garlic was a little off tonight. It was more of a light brown broth. Usually you can see the black spots of the black garlic. Service remains excellent. The ramen was not bad tonight.

Food was decent. Got the Veggie Curry Ramen and felt the curry taste on my pallet.
