The Grove Family - Mountain Grove

This is a great local restaraunt with some real home cooking! We stopped there after an appointment in Mountain Grove, initially thinking because the traffic in the parking lot alone meant something! It was early afternoon and the place was packed. We were seated quickly and served by a waitress that knew the menu well. It is a local place that emphasizes the quality of food. We were surprised at the price for most meals was more than affordable! A couple members of our group ordered breakfast (available all day) and others ordered lunch. The menu said they were famous for their fried chicken, so that's what we ordered. It noted on the menu that when ordering chicken, there would be a 20 minute minimum wait. We thought that was more than reasonable to have fresh fried chicken. It was definitely worth the wait. I really liked the French dip sandwich. My husband likes the Cheeseburger if your really hungry go for the 1/3 pint Dre cowboy burger. Their dessert selection is good too.

Good food and place to eat. Just seemed to take a long time to get a table.
