Bidrage med feedbackTravis made us an amazing hummingbird cake for our wedding. It looked great and tasted crazy delicious! Village Bakery was a pleasure working with us and we look forward to reusing them in the future. Besides, their normal cafe menu and desserts are always brilliant.
A little pricy like everything in Charleston, but probably the best She-crab. Good sandwiches and local crowd. I hate it when they decide on tips even before you see the food. Even stranger sounded the offer of the guy who brought my food to take napkins and cutlery... but again the food is good
The Village Bakery is a special, rustic, family-oriented treasure located in the heart of Monte Pleasant. It has been separated from the municipality for several decades and offers families a place to make memories. With bicycle tours in the afternoon or walks to get one of their delicious cake slices, just one of the many ways to enjoy all The Village Bakery has to offer. You never know who you'll see when you stop. From Darius Rucker to Catherine Bell to all your friendly neighbors, it is really a surprise every time you enter their doors. One of the many reasons why it is such a treat is because they are blessed to have one of the bigger bakers in the Charleston area occupied there for over 10 years. You know, if you order a piece of Travis Shy's famous coconut cake, you won't be disappointed but warned in a state of pure bliss. In addition to his cake, he makes decadent cookies, muffins and cakes. Marry? Don't worry, he can make your wedding cake dreams come true. Sweet tooth that doesn't hurt? Then stop and enjoy their many options from homemade soups and sandwiches. The Village Bakery has something for all ages and is a must to stop if you are a local or just visit.
The first time here will definitely be back. Really enjoyed the Café BLT and the Speck Ranch Potato Salad. Great atmosphere, a nice step back to time. Look forward to trying the baked goods.
I had a wonderful cup of coffee and a hearty chocolate chip cookie here on a rainy day with a large group of friends. Everything tasted great and the staff were friendly and patient as we crowded into the cozy shop on a rainy Saturday.
