Fried chicken, country fried steak and fried okra all great. The bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was sooooo delicious. I will definitely be back to try more.

The variety of dishes was excellent, the portion sizes were generous, and the flavors were outstanding! I will definitely return and recommend it to my friends and family. We enjoyed grilled and fried shrimp, potato salad, coleslaw, hush puppies, mac and cheese, fried okra, and flounder—everything was delicious!

We had a nice experience at Empy's about two weeks ago. The sweet tea was authentic Southern-style, and my husband enjoyed the BBQ plate, which was good. I had the hamburger steak, and while it wasn't exceptional, it was still decent. However, the dirty rice didn't impress—it was basically just plain rice with some spicy sausage mixed in. Considering the prices, it was a fair deal, and I'm just glad to have an option that's not fast food. The service was solid; they consistently kept our drinks filled. Overall, for Mount Olive, it's a good, affordable family restaurant. I would definitely return.
