El Sol - Morton Grove

So happy we stopped at this place. It was Authentic and Cozy. The chips and salsa were delicious! I had a Peach Margarita that went perfectly with everything. Everything came out fast and hot. Our waitress was very friendly and the review for us cannot wait to go back!

This is a must to stop when you are in the area!! The service was the best ever and the food was great. The menu has so many options that I would order next time. I recommend the Mexican hot chocolate! Next time I land in Illinois, I'll be back!

The food here is delicious and the drinks are fantastic! A real, authentic Mexican restaurant that feels like at home. The staff is friendly and the owner immediately welcomed us. We were supervised by our waitress, and the lead cook made a special order for me... just delicious! About halfway through our meal we were treated to a free shot (of course by Tequila). Delicious food, delicious drinks and a wonderful, local ambience. I recommend the steak tacos, chimichangas, shrimp cocktail and huachinango. The chips and salsa (comlimentary) go great with the margaritas. I'll be back soon. Supports this little business through direct order. I also believe they have unbeatable lunch specialties.

The food is thoroughly excellent. If you want large Mexican food in the MG area, this place is great. If you want to run DON'T order by grubhub. Anyone who has ever set up their GH menu has done a terrible job and it hardly reflects their actual menu in the context of menu, names of objects and what comes on these articles. In my opinion, it was a GH consultant who needed a restaurant. expand their range during COVID. Call them directly and order them. It'll be delicious.

My family has been coming by this Mexican restaurant for over twenty years. The owner always goes above and beyond to make every experience memorable. Cannot go wrong with a shot of tequila to end the meal either. They make one of the best Milanesa de Pollos in the area. For those of you that do not speak Spanish this is a breaded chicken breast. It is cooked perfectly and the flavor is amazing. Cannot tell you how many times I have been here but 75% of the time this dish is my go to. They also have great fajitas and per most restaurants and endless flow of chips and salsa. If your in Morton Grove and hankering for Mexican food El Sol will treat you like family.
