The Stables Motel - MORTLAKE

We stayed because we bought a pub, and went to check out what else was on offer. The rooms were clean but dated, and the fridge had not been restocked as it still had the opened milk container. The rain was incessant overnight and we slept like logs, well till about 5 in the morning. The rooms are well positioned across the road from a park and a couple of hundred meters from Tea Tree Lake. We were looking forward to the farmers market but it was raining to heavily.Good big clean rooms could do with a little love.

Called in here for an evening counter meal and Was not disappointed. Had a beautiful Chicken Parmagiana, one of the best I have ever had and was accompanied by very tasty fries and I could help myself to all the trimmings, being hot vegetables OR fresh salads. Beer went down very well with the food and will definitely call in here again, if possible.

We stayed in Rouen for quite a while before finally trying this place, recommended by localsThen we ate here twice in one week.

Waited about 15 minutes to be seated on a Monday during lunch time.

Looks like this is a Normandy-East of France fusion restaurant - and unexpectedly it tastes like a great idea. I had a huge salad for less than 10€
